After jumping to an early 5-0 lead courtesy of an Antwon Wallace 2-run double and an a 2-run homerun from Andrew Hall, the Lake City Panthers should have been on cruise control, but the Aynor Blue Jackets were not ready to go home yet.

After Aynor scrapped back to tie the game at 5, the teams traded runs to keep the score tied 6-6 after 7 innings.  Starting pitcher Shon Carson was replaced by Justin Owens to start the 8th.  Owens promptly walked the bases full then gave up a 2-run single to put the Panthers down 6-8.

In the bottom half, Andrew Hall worked a walk before Shon Carson crushed a towering homerun to tie the game at 8-8.  Owens found his groove and sent Aynor back to the dugout in the 9th inning, but Aynor would not be so lucky.  Hunner Smith was hit by a pitch to start the inning.  Following a strikeout, Allen Dickson lined a single to center to put runners at 1st and 2nd.  Nate Gamble was thenhit by a pitch to load the bases for Senior Quinn McClam.  McClam was also hit by a pitch to force the winning run across.
